Event management and facilitation services

TOR offers a full range of stakeholder consultation and research services. Ranging from large government / corporate events to more focused deliberative forums. One day events / workshops and online consultations.

The team

We are a small team of highly talented individuals led by Teresa Orange – an experienced chairperson and lead facilitator. She has experience in both the corporate and public sectors, and is particularly interested in policy development that embraces:

  • family / child well-being
  • media / digital environment / regulation
  • education / training

Our flexible approach to project management allows us to offer clients exceptional value for money. For clients working on a tight budget we offer a ‘facilitation only’ service, alternatively we provide a full event management service such as logistics and venue management, and online registration and delegate management services.

A pioneering approach to engagement

Looking ahead we believe that engagement programmes need to adapt to the new mood of clients and stakeholders.

During a period of financial instability the integrity of the consultative process becomes all the more important. Stakeholders are weary of costly events that focus more on the show than the integrity of the dialogue.

The credit crunch has undoubtedly heightened stakeholder fatigue / cynicism. So it is all the more important that participants are truly engaged in the process, and that the facilitators deliver a positive experience for everyone.

Adjusting to a more ‘wised-up’ stakeholder demands a more interactive approach, with more time for feedback throughout the process. It also offers us the opportunity to use more inventive techniques, for instance online preliminary dialogue, DIY facilitation and deliberative forums (see Future Frontiers).
